Ruby Annette Carpenter

RUBY BITTICK CARPENTER, age 92, of Demorest, Georgia died Monday, June 2, 2008 at the Habersham County Medical Center. Mrs. Carpenter was born on December 6, 1915 in Bibb County, Georgia to the late Robert and Mattie Nixon Bittick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mack P. Carpenter, her sister, Mary Bittick, and her brothers, R. L. Bittick and John Bittick. Mrs. Carpenter was of the Baptist faith and was a retired teacher's aide. Survivors include: her sons: Robert C. Carpenter, Demorest, GA; Mack Dennis Carpenter, Atlanta, GA; her sister: Grace Tribble, Griffin, GA; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Hal Cason, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
