Rose Ann Tartaglia

Rose Ann Spada Tartaglia, age 97, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 following an extended illness at a private care facility. Mrs. Tartaglia was born on May 17, 1918 in Waterbury, CT., to the late Joseph and Josephine Latina Spada. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by Peter Tartaglia, her beloved husband of 50 plus years. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mr. and Mrs. Tartaglia moved to Clarkesville from Waterbury, CT., in 1962 due to Mr. Tartaglia's work. They became very active in the community with Mrs. Tartaglia donating much of her time as a volunteer with The Habersham Medical Center. The Tartaglia's were founding members of St. Mark's Catholic Church. Mrs. Tartaglia was a dedicated Christian and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Survivors include daughters, Clare Rinehart, of Grayson; Pamela Moosman, of New Smyrna Beach, FL; sons, Richard J. Tartaglia, of Clarkesville; Michael P. Tartaglia, of Tucker; 6 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral Services are scheduled for 9:00 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 2015 at St. Mark's Catholic Church with Father José Luis Hernández-Ayala. Entombment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
