Ronald "R.C." Charles Cougill

Ronald Charles "R.C." Cougill, age 79, of Demorest, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, January 9th, 2019. Mr. Cougill was born on January 1st, 1940 in Richmond, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and one brother. Mr. Cougill was a practicing Attorney for over 50 years. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps, and served in Vietnam. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Sally Amos Cougill, of Demorest; daughter, Suzanne Schantz, of Chattanooga, TN; son, Michael Cougill, of Chicago, IL; grandson, Denver Schantz, of, Denver, CO; sister, Margene Lashley, of Florida; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services are scheduled for 6:00 pm, Monday, January 14th, 2019 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Phill DeMore , and Rev. Rick Price and Rev. Keith Cox officiating. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday, January 14, 2019 at the funeral home prior to the service.
