Rohena Cheek Thompson

ROHENA OPAL CHEEK THOMPSON, age 94, of Cornelia, Georgia, died Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at an area medical center. Mrs. Thompson was born on June 14, 1914 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Coleman Brown and Sally Gillespie Cheek. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orval Thompson, her sisters, Evelyn Cheek Jackson and Katheline Cheek Burrell, as well as a brother, Sonny Cheek. She was a graduate of Cornelia High School. Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Cornelia United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include: her son: Tony Thompson, Cornelia, GA; 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Private memorial services will be held.
