Roger D. Jordan

ROGER D. JORDAN, age 84, of Lula, GA, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Jordan was born on March 3, 1922 in Banks County, Georgia to the late Dock and Rose Crocker Jordan. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jordan was also preceded in death by sisters, Ida Jordan, Lillie Watkins, and Suler Wade as well as a brother, Reuben Jordan. He was retired from Fieldale Farms with several years of service and was of the holiness faith. Survivors include: his son: Wendell Jordan, Gainesville, GA; sister: Christine Jordan, Lula, GA; sister-in-law: Viola Jordan, Lula, GA; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2007 from the Rock Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Rogers and Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday. Mr. Jordan will be placed in the church at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday to lie in state until the funeral hour. ARRANGEMENTS ARE IN THE CARE OF WHITFIELD FUNERAL HOME, SOUTH CHAPEL, BALDWIN, GEORGIA.
