Rodney Steven Duncan

Steven Duncan, age 66, of the Fairview Community in Demorest, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 31, 2023.

Mr. Duncan was born June 4, 1957 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Frank and Maye Tench Duncan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ellen Dias; brothers, Randolph Duncan, AC Duncan, Maurice Duncan.

Mr. Duncan was a member of Harvest Christian Church where he served as Song Leader for many years and previously had served as a Deacon. Steven was a "Jack of All Trades" and could do anything. He enjoyed traveling, hunting, cooking on the smoker, and eating. Steven will be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, Daddy, Papa, and great-grandpa.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Von McCallister Duncan, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Jammie and Keith Roberts, of Clarkesville; granddaughters and her husband, Ashton and Jacob Roy, of Demorest; Allie Welborn, of the home; grandson, Joey and MaKaela Roberts, of Clarkesville; great-grandchildren, Easton Roy, McKinnley Roberts, Lily Roberts; sister, Ann and Mack Dean, of Mt. Airy; mother-in-law, Hazel Littleton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Stanley and Lorie Littleton; sister-in-law, Donna McClellon; and numerous nieces and nephews as well.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 3, 2023 at the Harvest Christian Church with Pastor Alvin Burns officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Pastor Chad Holcomb officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel.
