Robert B. Webb

ROBERT B. WEBB, age 97, of Demorest, GA, died Friday, February 15, 2008 at a local area medical center. Mr. Webb was born on August 12, 1910 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Mack and Lou Vinson Webb. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Meeks Webb. Mr. Webb was a member of the Return Baptist Church. He was retired from the US Postal Service having been a rural mail carrier with the Demorest Post Office for 19 years. Mr. Webb was formerly employed with Chicopee Manufacturing with 17 years of service. Survivors include: his daughter and son-in-law: Rev. Walter and Pat Burrell, Demorest, GA; his daughter: Linda Webb, Demorest, GA; his son and daughter-in-law: Robert Larry and Brenda Webb, Yankeetown, FL; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. He was the last member of his immediate family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2008 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Billy Burrell and Rev. Walter Burrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday and from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
