Robert Farrell Miles

ROBERT FARRELL MILES, age 81, of Cleveland and formerly of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at a local health care facility. Mr. Miles was born in Habersham County, Georgia on April 26, 1929, to the late Grover and Katie McCollum Miles. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife, Margaret Sisk Miles and sister, Opal Farmer. He was a member of Return Baptist Church and served as a deacon. Mr. Miles was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean Conflict. He was a retired employee of Sutton Tire Company with 33 years of service. Survivors include wife, Lois Smith Miles, Cleveland, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Mike Free, Clarkesville, GA; son, Steve Miles, Clarkesville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Junius and Gennell Miles, Cleveland, GA; 3 grandchildren, Hali Jarrard, Jennifer Tyler, and Sara Free; and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 10, 2010, Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Rev. Connie Berry and Rev. Donald Grizzle officiating. Interment will follow in the Clarkesville City Cemetery with Rev. Anthony Shore officiating.
