Robert David Butler

Robert David Butler, age 83, of Baldwin and formerly of Cleveland, GA died Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Butler was born December 11, 1922 in Atlantic City, NJ to the late Howard and Beatrice Coldwell Butler. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and worked for several years as a postal clerk with the U.S. Postal Service in Miami, FL. Survivors are: a brother: Howard Butler, Villa, NJ, nephews, and his friend and caretaker: Carolyn Hall, Dahlonega, GA. Mr. Butler's wishes were to be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 2:00PM from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA. Dr. Robert Massey will officiate. Mr. Massey will be interred in the U.S. National Cemetery at Canton, GA. The family will receive friends from 1 PM to 2 PM just prior to the memorial service on Saturday at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
