REX STANLEY COLEMAN, age 59, of Mount Airy, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. Mr. Coleman was born in Toccoa, Georgia on July 4, 1954; to the late Claude Lamar and Lillian Payne Coleman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister, Janice Green, brother, Ronnie Coleman. Mr. Coleman was a retired Engineer with Lockheed Martin with 33 years of service. He was a member of Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Marsha Merck Coleman, Mt. Airy; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Tina Coleman, Mt. Airy; son, Ben Coleman, Mt. Airy; sisters, Ann Elrod, Clarkesville and Martha Chastain, Mt. Airy; brothers, Lamar Coleman, Cornelia and Jimmy Coleman, Mt. Airy; four grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, with Rev. Chris Anderson and Bishop Ronald Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, November 7, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin.
