Rev. E.O. "Del" Bonnette

REV. E.O. "DEL" BONNETTE, age 82, of Clarkesville, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Rev. Bonnette was born on January 17, 1930, in Aiken, South Carolina; a son of the late Cohen and Annie Bonnette. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Leon, Blanchard, Raymond, and Wallace Bonnette and his sisters, Nadine Wall and Edna Riley. Rev. Bonnette was a retired employee of North Georgia Technical College with 17 years of service. He was a Minister of the Gospel and pastored numerous Baptist churches for 30 plus years. Rev. Bonnette was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife, Virginia Knight Bonnette, Clarkesville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Eulanne Bonnette Lyle and Ed Lyle, Hollywood, GA; daughter, Freida Bonnette Alexander, Clarkesville, GA; sons, Joel Bonnette and fiancée, Tammy Johnson, Dahlonega, GA and Jon Bonnette, Douglasville, GA; sister, Vivian Selfridge, Aiken, SC; grandchildren, Brooke Arroliga and her spouse, Juan Carlos, Ryan Bonnette and his spouse, Gabby, Victoria Bidez and her spouse, Reynolds, Jessica Bonnette, Jordan Lyle, Judith Lyle, Andy Alexander, and Allyson Hicks and her spouse, Justin; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Rev. James Harvey officiating. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. The body will be placed in the church to lie in state at 3:30 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, June 4, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
