Rev. Clarence H. Martin

REV. CLARENCE H. MARTIN, age 85, of Cornelia, Georgia, died Saturday, August 11, 2007 at his residence. Rev. Martin was born on May 19, 1922 in Madison County, Georgia to the late Loris and Pammie Lewallen Martin. Rev. Martin was a minister of the gospel and was Pastor of the Mid-Way Mission Holiness Church. Survivors include: his wife: Lois Rogers Martin, Cornelia, GA; his daughter and son-in-law: Elaine and Jerry Norris, Toccoa, GA; his son and daughter-in-law: Jerry and Joy Martin, Cornelia, GA; his son, reared in the home: Michael Free, Mt. Airy, GA; sisters: Agnes Richie, Homer, GA; Edna Lacey, Augusta, GA; sister and brother-in-law: Lucille and J. O. Phillips, Danielsville, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law: Melvin and Margie Martin, Habersham Mills, GA; Curtis and Lois Martin, Toccoa, GA; Verner and Ann Martin, Statham, GA; Robert and Joyce Martin, Richmond, VA; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 13, 2007 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with Rev. Ernest Hunter and Rev. Roger Loggins officiating. Burial will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
