Rena Mae Hicks Addis

RENA MAE HICKS ADDIS, age 79, Demorest, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015. Mrs. Addis was born on November 16, 1935 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Roy Bryson and Geletta Gunn Hicks. She was a member of Bethel Temple C.H. Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Clinton Hicks, Garnett Hicks; and sister, Carolyn Adams. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Jimmy Addis, of Demorest; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and JoAnne Addis, of Demorest; sisters, Kathlene Merck, of Mt. Airy; Edith Simmons, of Demorest; Mary Dell Williams, of Clarkesville; grandson, Toby Addis; granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Addis and her fiancé, Ashton Wilson; great-granddaughter, Rena Blythe Wilson, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Fitzpatrick and Rev. Jeremy Garmon officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday, September 5, 2015.
