Mrs. Reba Mangum Brown, age 99 of the Hollingsworth Community, Alto, Georgia passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at the Oaks @ Scenic View Nursing Center following an extended illness. Born in Franklin County, Georgia on January 14, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Hattie Hooper Mangum. Mrs. Brown was a homemaker, a member of the AARP Senior Citizens, and was a faithful member of the Line Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul David Brown, Sr., son, Paul David Brown, Jr., infant daughter, Cleo Brown, and a son-in-law, Brannon Caudell. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2008 from the Line Baptist Church. The Rev. Kenneth McEntire and the Rev. Garry Garrison will officiate. Mrs. Brown will lie in state at the church from 3:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Survivors include her daughter, Betty Caudell, Mt. Airy, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie and Ralph Dalton, Alto, GA; grandchildren, Michael Caudell, New Ellington, SC; Freddie Dalton, Carnesville; Tim Brown, Kimberly Marshall, both of Anniston, AL; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Saturday.
