Raymond C. Greene

RAYMOND C. GREENE, age 86, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2012, at the Habersham Medical Center. Mr. Greene was born on September 14, 1925, in Lancaster, South Carolina; a son of the late Arthur and Lola Mae Barnes Greene. He was a United States Army veteran having proudly served his country during World War II. Mr. Greene retired from the Air Engineering Company in Charlotte, North Carolina with 28 years of service. Survivors include his son, Allan Greene, Mt. Airy, GA and grandchildren, Kendall Greene and Aspen Greene. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, with Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Level Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at the funeral home.
