Py Thongkhamlot

PY THONGKHAMLOT, age 75, of Mt. Airy, Georgia passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013. Mrs. Thongkhamlot was born in Laos, on May 4, 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kanh and La Xayyaphone and her husband, Nouane Thongkamlot. Mrs. Thongkhamlot was a member of the Habersham Lao Families Association and a homemaker. Survivors include her sons, Abe Thongkhamlot, Mt. Airy, Bounty Thongkhamlot, Mt. Airy, Rasmy Thongkhamlot, Wichita, KS, and Kevin Thongkhamlot, Cornelia; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Tony Xayyaphone, Bin Xayyaphone, and Nong Xayyaphone, all of Laos and Khathin Xayyaphone, Kansas; brothers, Gert Xayyaphone and Vundee Xayyaphone, both of Laos; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Monks from the Wat Lao Buddha Sattha Dham Temple and Buddha Ram Kham Bounheuang Temple and Leaders of the Lao Families Association of Habersham County officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2013, at the funeral home.
