PHILLIP Q. COCHRAN, age 55, of Homer, Georgia died Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at a private care facility. Mr. Cochran was born on September 11, 1952 in Habersham County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Julian Cochran. Mr. Cochran was a member of the Damascus Baptist Church. He was a former machine operator with Westing House Airbrake Company. Survivors include: his mother: Mildred Aaron Cochran, Homer, GA; his daughters: Quintina Dee Cochran Owens, Sugar Hill, GA; Jennifer Leigh Cochran Addison, Toccoa, GA; his sons: Matthew Cochran and Jeremy Cochran, both of Mt. Airy, GA; his brother: James Cochran, Homer, GA; his grandchildren: Bryson and Kaine Addison, Toccoa, GA. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2007 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Roy Rogers and Rev. Gene Todd officiating. Interment will follow in the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
