Pauline Martin Garner

PAULINE J. MARTIN GARNER, age 90, of Clarkesville, GA, died Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at the Habersham County Medical Center. Mrs. Garner was born on November 15, 1915 in Habersham County, Georgia. She was a daughter of the late Henry and Lula Franklin Jarrell and was also preceded in death by her husbands, Walter Lee Martin and Doc Garner, a son, Larry Martin, a grandchild, Eddie Lee Martin, as well as a brothers, Carlton Jarrell and Miller Jarrell and sisters, Annie Taylor, Alice Nicholson, and Lila Mae Martin. Mrs. Garner was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and was retired from Scovill after 15 years of service. Survivors include: daughters: Betty L. Martin Smith, Clarkesville, GA; Cathy Clark, Cornelia, GA; Sons: Henry Lee Martin, Clarkesville, GA; W. Ross Martin, Cornelia, GA; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2006 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, with Rev. Tommy Stowe, Rev. Loyd Smith, and Rev. Donald Holbrook officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
