Pauline Carter Aycock

PAULINE CARTER AYCOCK, age 92 of Cornelia, GA died Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Mrs. Aycock was born on May 29, 1915, in Woodville, GA to the late Richard and Dinkie Martin Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Horace Aycock; her sisters, Carrie Brooks and Evie Smith; her brothers, Bill, Albert, James, and Reese Carter and her step-sons, Charles and Bill Aycock. Mrs. Aycock was of the Baptist faith. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and a cherished friend to many. Survivors include her daughter, Claudette Aycock, of Cornelia, GA; her step-daughter, Mayzell Mauldin, of Baldwin, GA; son & daughter-in-law, Wesley "Buddy" and Gloria Griffith, of Crawford, GA; step-son & daughter-in-law, George and Verna Aycock, of Alto, GA; step-son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Judy Aycock, of Starr, SC; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, May 23, 2008 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA with Rev. Chris York officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 pm, on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
