Paul W. Pruitt

PAUL W. PRUITT, age 78, of Baldwin, Georgia, died Thursday, November 02, 2006 at the Habersham County Medical Center. Mr. Pruitt was born on May 1, 1928 in Due West, South Carolina to the late Holbert and Cleo Brock Pruitt. He was also preceded in death by brothers Vance Pruitt and Jack Pruitt and a sister Myrtle Smith. Mr. Pruitt was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church and was a mason. He was a bus driver and truck driver with 27 years of service. Survivors include: his wife: Mae S. Pruitt, Baldwin, GA; his daughter and son-in-law: Peggy and Robert Stalnaker, McDonough, GA; his son and daughter-in-law: Doug and Gail Pruitt, Cornelia, GA; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2006 from the Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Vandiver and Rev. Alvin Oakes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday.
