Paul Edward Newlon, age 72, of Demorest, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016. Mr. Newlon was born on April 4, 1944 in Akron, Ohio to the late Camden Paul and Alma Blanche Casteel Newlon. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Clayton Andrew Martin. Survivors include his loving wife of 20 years, Carolyn Diehl Newlon, Demorest, GA; daughter, Paula Newlon LaCavera, Demorest, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Cristine Michelle and Christopher Smiga, Buford, GA; step-daughter and husband, Juli Tomlin Irvin and Johnny Irvin, Mt. Airy, GA; sister, Patricia Mumm, Palm Desert, CA; grandchildren, Camden Randels, Breanne Smiga, William Smiga, Ethan Smiga; great-grandchild, Dane Randels. . A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 2 pm until 5 pm at the home of his daughter, Paula LaCavera, 752 Cobblestone Lane, Demorest, GA 30535.
