Paul A. Mitchell

PAUL A. MITCHELL, age 76, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at the Oaks at Scenic View following an extended illness. Mr. Mitchell was born on August 7, 1935, in Reed City, Michigan; a son of the late Harold and Margaret Higham Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was a retired insurance broker and a member of the Hollywood Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Alice Mitchell, Clarkesville, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Michael Nivens, Anderson, IN and Alice and David Fountain, Valdosta, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Lisa Mitchell, Plano, TX; sons, Charles Mitchell, Clarkesville, GA and Tim Mitchell, Aspen, CO; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2012, at the Hollywood Baptist Church with Rev. Don Samples and Rev. Ron Dingus officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
