Ovelean Ayers Moody

Ovelean Ayers Moody, age 69, of Cornelia, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 following an extended illness. Mrs. Moody was born on July 1, 1946, in Stephens County, Georgia, to the late Authur and Madeline Elrod Ivester. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Alvin Ayers and sisters, Arva Jean Clark, Buna Teate and Reba Ivester. Mrs. Moody was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and also attended New Life Fellowship Church. She was retired from Tugalo Home Health care as a CNA. Survivors include her husband, Ted Moody, Cornelia, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffery (Sandra) Ayers, Alto, GA, Tony (Melissa) Ayers, Cleveland, GA, Shane (Carla) Ayers, Alto, GA,; son, Timothy Ayers, Cornelia, GA; step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Jason (Connie) Moody, Baldwin, GA; sister, Marvalea Cordell, Toccoa, GA; eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2016 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Rev. Jeffery Ayers officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery, 2405 Hwy 51, Lula, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.
