Oree Gailey Clark

Oree Gailey Clark, age 94 of Alto, Georgia passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2011. Mrs. Clark was born in Habersham County, on December 12, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe Gailey and Savannah Myers Gailey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Walter M. Clark. Mrs. Clark was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and homemaker. Mrs. Clark was loved by everyone and will be missed greatly. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Lawrence Winkler, Seneca, SC and Betty and H.L. Wade, Alto, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Gary W. and Eunice Clark, Alto, GA; sister, Juanita Thomas, Jonesboro, GA; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 28, 2011, at Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Sunday, February 27, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
