OMA CLEO MULLINAX ENGLISH, age 104, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2011, and is awaiting the soon return of her Lord. Mrs. English was born on August 23, 1907, in Clarkesville, Georgia; a daughter of the late Charlie P. and Mary Ann Walddrup Mullinax. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lacey C. English and her sons, Lewis, Clarence, and Charles English. Mrs. English was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker. Survivors include her daughters, Geraldine Barker, Avon Park, FL, Christine Bartram, Yucaipa, CA, and Betty Van Puffelen, Ooltewah, TN; sons, John B. English, St. Augustine, FL and Lacey J. English, Redlands, CA; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, 2011, at the Craig Funeral Home, 1475 Old Dixie Highway, St. Augustine, Florida 32084, with Rev. Ed Komorowski officiating. A private interment will be held later. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
