Nora Jean Patrick

NORA JEAN PATRICK, age 68, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2013, at the residence following a sudden illness. Mrs. Patrick was born in Fairburn, Georgia on May 28, 1945, to the late Clyde and Sadie Moore Smith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Morris C. Patrick, Jr. daughter, Nora Elaine Patrick Ward, and granddaughter, Lucinda L. Patrick Rogowski. Mrs. Patrick was of the Apostolic faith. Her employment career included Fieldale Corporation, Frito-Lay, McDonalds and most important, was assisting her husband with their evangelistic ministry. She was a devoted and loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Evangelist Morris C. Patrick, Sr., Cornelia; daughter, Marsha Marie Patrick, Cornelia; sisters, Joyce McElwaney, Fairburn, Ellie Higginbotham, Alto, and Becky Evans, Fairburn; brothers, William "Billy" Smith, Jasper, and Robert Smith, Dallas; seven grandchildren, Jessica Gilstrap, Jeanelle Crozier, Maricia LeAnn Patrick, Morris C. Patrick III, Joshua David Patrick, Nakisha Hill and Russell Robert Farris, III and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., on Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia. Sister Doris Manning and Rev. Michael Patrick will be officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3-5 and 6:30-8:30 p.m., on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at the funeral home.
