Nezzie Free Strange

Nezzie Free Strange, age 81, of Cornelia, Georgia went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 09, 2011, at Limestone Heritage, Gainesville, Georgia following an extended illness. Mrs. Strange was born in Habersham County, Georgia on January 2, 1930, a daughter of the late, Martin and Vadie Woodall Free. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her twin sons, Kent and Keith Strange, brothers, Everett, Earl and Dewey Lee Free, and a sister, Eunice Hulsey. Mrs. Strange was a member of Good News Baptist Church and a homemaker. Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Clay Strange, Cornelia, GA; sons, Michael and Jerry Strange, both of Cornelia, GA; sister, Hazel Crain, Gainesville, GA; brother, Rev. Lloyd Free, Cornelia, GA and her adopted family, John, June, April, and Laura Dyer, all of Demorest, GA. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 12, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA with Rev. Austin Kelley and Rev. J.R. Elrod officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Lloyd Free officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., Friday, November 11, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
