Nevitt Dellwood Galloway

NEVITT GALLOWAY, age 67, of Clarkesville, GA passed away December 18, 2008 at the residence following an extended illness. Mr. Galloway was born in Toccoa, GA on August 18, 1941 to the late Harlard Walls and Ola Irene Shirley Galloway. He was preceded in death by a step-mother and two sisters. Mr. Galloway was of the Baptist faith and owner of Galloway Garage. He worked for 17 years with the Habersham County Board of Education. Survivors include his wife, Pat Galloway, of Clarkesville, GA; daughter, Angela Galloway, Dresden, Colorado; daughters and sons-in-law, Carlita and Billy Turk, Cornelia, GA, Teresa and Billy Ford, Homer, GA and Sonya and David Eash, Clarkesville, GA; sons Randy Galloway, Marietta, GA and Scott Galloway, Maine; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathleen and W.P. Loudermilk, Villa Rica, GA, and Debbie and Ken Edwards, Oakwood, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Pat Galloway, Clarkesville, GA, Stan and Karen Turpen, Clarkesville, GA, Ken and Lou Turpen, Clarkesville, GA, and Bruce and Lula Turpen, Clarkesville, GA; 16 Grandchildren, Matthew Galloway, Samatha Galloway, Kristen Galloway, Michael Gloyd, Stephanie Gloyd, Newt Turk, Emily Turk, Tandy Turk, Spencer Turk, Amanda Ford, Josh Ford, Rebekah Ford, Noah Ford, Micah Ford, Josie Eash and Titus Eash and 1 great-grandchild, Avery Gloyd. Funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Shirley Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Franklin, Rev. Dennis Ledford and Rev. Charles Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
