Nell Watkins

Nell Watkins, age 90, of Baldwin, Georgia, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016. Ms. Watkins was born on October 6, 1925 in Banks County, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ethel Watson Watkins; brothers, John Watkins; Tom Watkins; Hubert Watkins; Wilton Watkins; sisters, Lucille Cook; and Ruby Watkins. Ms. Watkins was a member of Baldwin Baptist Church. She was retired from Carwood Manufacturing with 50 years of loyal and dedicated service. Survivors include her brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Frances Watkins, of Mt. Airy, GA; Clyde and Brenda Watkins, of Demorest, GA; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive. Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Terry Rice officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Daniel Parker officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the funeral home.
