Neal Gerrells

NEAL GERRELLS, age 59, of Cornelia, GA passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009 following an extended illness. Mr. Gerrells was born in White County, Georgia on September 20, 1949. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Gerrells, sisters, Barbara Ann Nix, and Kathy Gerrells, and his step-father, James Arthur Cooley. Mr. Gerrells was of the Baptist faith and he was a carpenter. Survivors include mother, Snow D. Cooley, Alto, GA; daughters, Kayla Gerrells, Cornelia, GA and Julie Gerrells, Cornelia, GA; son, Justin Martin, Cornelia, GA; sister, Brenda Arrowood, Cornelia, GA; brothers, Billy Wayne Gerrells, Royston, GA and Haskell Gerrells, Cornelia, GA. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Rev. Bobby Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA on Sunday, March 29, 2009 from 6-9 and on Monday, March 30, 2009 from 6-8.
