MYRTLE MCENTIRE ADDIS, age 97, of Habersham, Georgia died Saturday, October 18, 2008. Mrs. Addis was born in Habersham County on May 7, 1911 to the late Roland and Carrie Groves McEntire. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim Addis, and two grandchildren Brian and Billy Chitwood. Mrs. Addis was a member of Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church, and a former Sunday School Teacher. She was a retired employee of Habersham Mills with several years of service and a homemaker. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Frances and Nelson Lewallen, Baldwin, GA, Helen and Bill Chitwood, Clarkesville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy "Bud" and Rena Mae Addis, Demorest, GA; sisters Rennie Tomlin, Cornelia, GA, and Burches Gerrin, Demorest, GA; brother, Lewis McEntire, LaFrance, S.C.; 4 Grandchildren, 6 Great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 20, 2008 at Bethel Temple Congregational Holiness Church at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Jonathan Fitzpatrick, Rev. Ronald Mote, and Bishop Ronald Wilson will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Habersham Cemetery.
