Myrtle Massey Crenshaw

MYRTLE MASSEY CRENSHAW, age 93, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015. Mrs. Crenshaw was born on July 1, 1921 in Banks County, Georgia to the late George and Iona Peyton Massey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howell Ralph Crenshaw. Mrs. Crenshaw was a United States Army Veteran having served her county during World War II. She was a member of Hillside Baptist Church. Mrs. Crenshaw was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Richard Eppihiner, Marietta, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Janice Crenshaw, Panama City, FL, Howell, Jr. and Pat Crenshaw, Wichita, KS; sisters, Vernell Hix, Jefferson, GA, M. Betty Meeks, Maysville, GA, Flois Duckett, Demorest, GA, Mae Jones, Gastonia, NC; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Monday, June 29, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Larry Free officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors provided by the United States Army, Grant Reeves VFW Post 7720, American Legion Post 84 and Rabun DAV Chapter 15. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 pm on Sunday, June 28, 2015.
