Mrs. Ruth Chapman "Ma" Reepe

Mrs. Ruth Chapman "Ma" Reepe, age 90 of Demorest, passed away on Thursday, February 05, 2009. Born in Habersham County, Georgia on March 08, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Fields and Minnie Walls Chapman. Mrs. Reepe was retired from Clarkesville Mills with 30 years of dedicated service and was a member of the Habersham Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John V. Reepe, Sr., brothers, Paul Chapman, Leonard Chapman, Ray Chapman, Charles Chapman, sister, Ruby Church, and a grandson, Jason Reepe. Survivors include her daughters, Wanda Palmer, Cleveland, GA; Anita Wilson, Gainesville, GA; sons, John V. Reepe, Jr., Hollywood, GA; Michael S. Reepe, Cottondale, AL; sisters, Ethel Webb, Cumming, GA; Lois Heaton, Mary McDonald, both of Hollywood, GA; Florence Hames, Clarkesville, GA; Helen Davis, Hamilton, GA; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 07, 2009 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel in Demorest. The Rev. Matt Thomas and the Rev. Johnny Thomas will officiate. Burial will follow in the Fairfield Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday.
