Mrs. Long Vongsydanone

MRS. LONG VONGSYDANONE, age 54, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011, at her residence, following an extended illness. Mrs. Vongsydanone was born on March 1, 1957, in Muang Kong, Laos. She was the daughter of Nouk Khammanh of Muang Kong, Laos and the late Kao Khammanh. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Soan Khammanh. Mrs. Vongsydanone was employed with the Fieldale Farms Corporation and a member of the Wat Lao Buddhist Temple. Survivors, in addition to her father, include her husband, Pheng Vongsydanone, Cornelia, GA; sons, Bounthanom Vongsydanone, Tracy Vongsydanone, and None Vongsydanone, all of Cornelia, GA; sister, Boun Souvannasane, Rockford, IL; brothers, Yout Khammanh, Laos and Mok Thonthangehith, Rockford, IL; and two grandchildren, Jadlynn Xaykosy and Devin Xaykosy. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 16, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Monks from the Wat Lao Buddhist Temple and the Leaders of the Lao Families of Habersham County officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel.
