Mrs. Joan Ann Dahlstrand

Mrs. Joan Ann Dahlstrand, age 79, of Demorest, Georgia passed away Monday, April 25, 2011, following an extended illness. She was born in Stamford, CT on September 24, 1931, to the late Helen Gillen and Arthur Prowse. Mrs. Dahlstrand was preceded in death by her sister, Carole Willis and her son, Bruce Dahlstrand. Survivors include her husband of 60 years Wallace D. Dahlstrand, Sr., of Demorest, GA; her son and daughter-in-law, Wallace D. Dahlstrand, Jr. and Brenda Dahlstrand, of Buford; her daughter-in-law, Amy Dahlstrand, of Auburn, and her daughter, Leanne S. Tasker, of Toccoa; grandchildren, Jennifer Carrier, David Dahlstrand, Chaya (Christina) Oliver, Jessica Oliver, and Anna Dahlstrand. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, United Hospice c/o The Oaks at Scenic View, 209 Peach Orchard Road, Baldwin, GA 30511. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011, at the Midway Methodist Church, in Auburn, GA. Arrangements are in the care of Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.
