Mr. Sheryl Ledford

MR. SHERYL LEDFORD, age 86, of Lula, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Ledford was born on July 13, 1928 in Oneida, KY to the late Ernest and Leah Webb Ledford. He was also preceded in death by his sons, Sheryl Ledford, Jr., Charles Ledford; brother, Clayton Ledford; sister, Evelyn Wilson. Mr. Ledford was a member of First Baptist Church Union Park, Florida. He was an Emeritus member of Walnut Hills Lodge # 483 in Cincinnati with 60 years of membership and was also Emeritus as a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason from The Valley of Cincinnati for 57 years. Mr. Ledford was a retired police officer with 13 years of service with the Cincinnati Ohio Police Department. Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Lois McDaniel Ledford, Lula, GA; daughter, Shirley Boyle, GA & AR; son, Robert Ledford, Commerce, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Lian Ledford, Lula, GA; sister, Beryl Ray, Demossville, KY; 14 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Steve Emerson officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery with Masonic services by Phi Delta Lodge # 148 F & AM and Hudson Lodge # 294 F & AM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. The family will be at the residence of Mr. Ledford's grandson, Dr. Michael Boyle, 298 Hickory Flat Road, Gillsville, Georgia.
