Mozelle Morrison Free

MOZELLE MORRISON FREE, age 91, of Cornelia, Georgia, died Friday, October 24, 2008 at the Lanier Park Hospital. Mrs. Free was born on September 26, 1917 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late William L. and Georgie Free Morrison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Miles L. Free, daughter, Barbara Holbrooks, and grandson, Jeff Cantrell. Mrs. Free was a member of the Hillside Baptist Church, where she was the teacher of the Singles Sunday School Class and was the WMU Director for many years. She was a member of The Rebecca Lodge and the AARP. Mrs. Free was retired from Piedmont Automotive as an inspector with 20 years of service. Survivors include: her daughters and sons-in-law: Martha & Johnny Johnson, Atlanta, GA; Betty & Hugh Cantrell, Buford, GA; Judy & Jim Ferguson, Flowery Branch, GA; her sisters: Allene M. Sutton, Anna Belle Dean, and Juanita Morrison, all of Clarkesville, GA; 6 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2008 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, with Rev. Larry Free, and Rev. Billy Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakey Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2008.
