MORRIS WILLIAMS, age 68, of Demorest, GA, died Thursday, September 21, 2006 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Williams was born on July 26, 1938 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Freeman, Sr. and Stella Iva Lee Watts Williams. He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Mr. Williams was the owner of Williams Produce. Survivors include: his wife: Carolyn C. Williams, Demorest, GA; daughter and son-in-law: Susan and Jim Weidner, Demorest, GA; Sons and Daughters-in-law: Joel and B.J. Williams, Gainesville, GA; Mitchell and Gayla Williams, Demorest, GA; Brother and Sister-in-law: Freeman and Mary Williams, Sevierville, TN; 11 grandchildren: Ryan and Aaron Williams, Meredith and Paige Williams, Sarah, John, Michael, and Matthew Weidner, Lindsey, Brandon and Logan Boyd. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2006 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA, with Rev. Tommy Stowe, Joel Williams and Jim Weidner officiating. Burial will follow in the Clarkesville City Cemetery with Dr. Bill Cashion officiating at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday.
