Monta Caudell Meeler

Monta Caudell Meeler, age 93, of Homer, GA passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2009. Mrs. Meeler was born on July 31, 1915 in Homer, GA to the late P.G. Caudell Sr. and Gladys Bell Caudell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Swayne Meeler, sons, Loyd and Billy Meeler, brothers, George S., Talmadge, and Ford Caudell. Mrs. Meeler was a member at the Damascus Baptist Church and was a seamstress at Carwood Manufacturing with 30 years of service. Survivors included daughter, Eva Mae Evans, Willis, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law, James N. and Melva Jean Meeler, Cornelia, GA; sisters, Marie Wilkinson, Baldwin, GA, Marilyn Caldwell, Chamblee, GA, and Bobbie Taylor, Baldwin, GA; brother, P.G. Caudell Jr., Homer, GA; 10 Grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2009 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA with Rev. Roy Rogers and Rev. Luther Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Damascus Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2009 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
