Mitchell "Mitch" Eugene Humphries

Mitchell "Mitch" Eugene Humphries, age 56, Missoula, Montana and formerly of Habersham County died Monday, September 3, 2007 at Missoula, Montana. Mr. Humphries was born on December 25, 1950 in Habersham County. He was a graduate of Carolina High School, and North Greenville College, Greenville, SC. Mr. Humphries was of the Baptist faith and a member the American Federation of Musicians. He was a studio musician in Nashville, TN and was also a writer of music and short stories. Mr. Humphries enjoyed his hobby geographic photography. Survivors include: his parents: Bill and Wilma Humphries, Demorest, GA; his sister: Wanda Gillum, Gainesville, GA; his niece: Kami Gillum, Gainesville, GA; nephew and wife: Kyle and Emily Gillum, Gainesville, GA. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 22, 2007 at Whitfield Funeral Homes, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Rev. John Humphries and Rev. Russ Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 pm Friday, September 21, 2007 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.
