Mitchell Dallas Ivie

MITCHELL DALLAS IVIE, age 46, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012. Mitch was born in Gainesville, Georgia on December 24, 1965. He is the son of Lib Hinton, Cornelia, Georgia and the late Michael Lee Ivie, Sr. Mitch was of the Methodist faith and was a Chef. Mitch was passionate about life, family and the outdoors. He took great pride and pleasure in his cooking, which was just as much a hobby as a profession. Mitch was his happiest when he was serving others. In addition to his mother, survivors include his former wife, Renee' Ivie, Cornelia, GA; son, Jamin Ivie, Cornelia, GA; sister, Libby Irvin, Cleveland, GA; brother, Mike Ivie, Alto, GA; maternal grandfather, Norris Hinton, Alto, GA; paternal grandmother, Frances Ivie Blackburn, Mt. Airy, GA. Memorial services are scheduled for 4 p.m., Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Alto Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Tim Beasley and Rev. Edwin Smith officiating. The Ivie family will have a time to remember from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
