Bowman

Miriam Graham King, age 78, of Bowman, Georgia passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

Ms. King was born on December 18, 1946 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Albert Graham and Christine Sullivan Graham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Bonnie Fegan and Donna Bohannon.

Miriam was of the Christian Faith. Her life was a testament to humility, compassion, and quiet strength. She will be remembered most for her modest and honest spirit—the kind of person who would give the shirt off her back without a second thought. For many years, Miriam ran Big Star Deli and Bakery. She was known for her exceptional cooking as she loved to cook for her family and friends. Miriam had a special knack for crocheting, creating countless soft and beautiful items for family and friends. Her hands were rarely still, often working on embroidery or crafting something meaningful for someone she cared about. Miriam was also fluent in French, a testament to her quiet intelligence and lifelong curiosity. Despite her many talents, she remained humble, never seeking praise for all that she accomplished. An avid animal lover, Miriam opened her heart and home to countless rescue animals over the years, showing each one the tender care they deserved.
