Michael "Mike" Crawford

MICHAEL "MIKE" CRAWFORD, age 63, of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Mr. Crawford was born June 16, 1951, in Gainesville, Georgia to the late Dupree Crawford and Louise McMillian. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Tanksley and Betty Woodall; and brother, Grady Crawford. Mr. Crawford was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and had been disabled for a number of years. Survivors include his wife, Carol Crawford of Alto; daughter, Serena Lynelle Crawford of Dalton, Georgia; son, Bart Mike Crawford of Dalton; and stepson Jason Hewell of Carnesville; sisters, Melinda Bennett of Gainesville, Martha Crawford of Cornelia, and Becky Andrews of Baldwin; brothers, Roger Crawford of Gainesville, Junior Crawford of Homer, Gary Crawford of Cornelia, David "Spot" Crawford of Cornelia, and Eddie Crawford of Baldwin; grandchildren, Randy York, Timber Peterson and Braden Crawford. Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, January 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel in Demorest with Rev. Roy Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the funeral home.
