Michael C. Loudermilk

Michael C. Loudermilk, age 61, of Mount Airy, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Loudermilk was born on February 3, 1956, in Demorest, Georgia, to Ruth K. Loudermilk of Mount Airy and the late John D. Loudermilk. He was a graduate of Piedmont College and a member of Mount Airy Baptist Church. Michael retired from the Georgia Department of Agriculture with 34 years of service. Michael enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Yovonda K. Loudermilk of Mount Airy; daughters and sons-in-law, Jessica and Robert Reepe III of Flowery Branch and Emilee and Kelsey Black of Braselton; sons, Robert Loudermilk and fiancée, Amber Tench and Rhett Loudermilk, all of Mount Airy; brother-in-law, Robert Kimbrell of Demorest; sister, Brenda Kinsey of Mount Airy; and grandchildren: Addie Reepe, Macie Reepe, and Davis Black. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 pm on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Clinton Patterson and Rev. Michael Justus officiating. Interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery in Mount Airy, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at the funeral home.
