Michael Edward Bishop

Michael Edward Bishop, age 59, of Mt. Airy, Georgia, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016. Mr. Bishop was born on October 21, 1957, in Bucyrus, Ohio to the late Lewis E. and Martha J. Bishop. He was also preceded in death by his sister: Susan M. Bishop. Mr. Bishop graduated from Ashland University with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. He was a shift supervisor at Linwood Wastewater Treatment Plant for the City of Gainesville. Survivors include his wife: Rhonda Maria Mueller Bishop, Mt. Airy; sons: Michael Edward Bishop II and Anthony Lewis Bishop, both of Mt. Airy; and brother: Ronald Bishop, DeLand, FL. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the memorial hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
