MATTIE WEST, age 92, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016. Mrs. West was born on October 31, 1923 in Rogersville, Tennessee. She was of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. West was a loving and dedicated wife and homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings. Mrs. West was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include her husband, Don West, of Cornelia; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen F. and Lorie Cobble, of Michigan; son Leonard C. Cobble, of Michigan; 3 grandchildren, Stephen Cobble, Chris Cobble, and CJ Cobble. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel with Rev. Roy Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2016 at the funeral home.
