Mary Louise Short

MARY LOUISE SHORT, age 84, of Cornelia, GA, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Short was born on July 23, 1922 in Banks County, Georgia to the late Luther and Mary Etta Caudell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Doss Short, a sister, Annese Caudell and a brother, Broadus Caudell. Mrs. Short was a member of the Level Grove Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a wonderful cook. Survivors include: her daughter and son-in-law: Evelyn and Charles Welborn; her sons and daughters-in-law: James C. and Susan Short and Daniel W. and Rosanne Short, all of Cornelia, GA; her sister: Kitty Caudell, Baldwin, GA; her brothers: Buford Caudell, Homer, GA; Dewey Caudell, Mt. Airy, GA; her grandchildren: Kris London and husband, John of Cornelia, GA; Jenny Williams and husband, Jeremy of Cornelia, GA; Melissa Short, Demorest, GA; Abby Short, Demorest, GA; Christopher Webb and wife, Kerrie, Cornelia, GA; her great-granddaughter: Kaylie Webb, Cornelia, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2007 from Level Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Rice, Rev. Brian James, and Rev. Luther Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Level Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.
