Mary Jane Glore Sewell

MARY JANE GLORE SEWELL, age 82, of Jonesboro, formerly of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013, following a sudden illness. Mrs. Sewell was born in Tiger, Georgia on November 25, 1930, to the late Earnest and Ollie Queen Glore. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edwin Sewell and one brother, Bill Glore. Mrs. Sewell was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Sewell served in a secretarial / clerical position with various firms for 40 plus years. Survivors include daughter, Marilyn J. Clark, Kennesaw, sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Christine Sewell, Talladega, AL; Mark and Cathy Sewell, Kennesaw, brothers, Bob Glore, Toccoa, Frank Glore, Mt. Airy; two grandsons, Jonathan Taylor, McDonough, and Jordan Sewell, Perry. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. Brian Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon until the funeral hour on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church Building Fund, 2175 Antioch Church Road, Mt. Airy, GA 30563. Arrangements are in the care of Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
