Mary Iantha Tench Wilson

MARY IANTHA TENCH WILSON, age 93, of Alto, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013. Mrs. Wilson was born in Alto, Georgia on October 24, 1920, to the late Leonard and Margie Mackey Tench. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. "Bill" Wilson, sons, Robert and Keith Dodd, sisters, Leona Wilson and Maude Mae Carter, and a grandson, Brian Brady. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Linda & Edgar Kastner, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, James & Melba Dodd, Alto; two step-sons, Billy Wilson and Robert Wilson, both of Bessemer, NC; sister, Lurlene Meeks, Cornelia; brothers, Will Tench, Gastonia, NC and Harold Tench, Seneca, SC; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services are schedule for 2 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Sanford Kimbrell and Rev. Kendal Mann officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
