Mary Ethel Dooley

MARY ETHEL DOOLEY, age 79, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011, at her residence following a sudden illness. She was born in Banks County, Georgia on May 24, 1932; a daughter of the late Ernest F. and Cleo Chambers Dooley. Ms. Dooley was also preceded in death by her brothers, Frank, John W., and Ervin Dooley and her sister, Allie Mae Dooley. She was a house cleaner for various families and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her son, Alvin D. Dooley, Sr., Demorest, GA; grandchildren, Alvin D. Dooley, Jr., April Galloway, and Alex Dooley; and great-grandchildren, Bethany Dooley, Kelsi Galloway, and Maci Galloway. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, with Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2011, at the funeral home.
